"Tabulam hanc chorographicam, Agri Ditionis/ DE GRAND CAIRO/ Comprehenso situ/ URBIS MEMPHITICAE/ Praenobili viro/ D.D.Gulielmo Comiti de Strafford/ Vicecomiti de Wentworth et Stainborough/ et Baroni de Raby, Newmarch et Oversley/ D.D.D./ R.P." anonymous engraver, published in a history of Egypt, about 1740. Copper engraved map with recent hand colour, full plate mark and good margins. Split of 10 cms along plate mark to lower left, outside map area. Size 35.5 x 31.5 cms plus good margins.
