Published in the 'Vaugondy Supplement' to Diderot's Encyclopedia, 1772 or 79. Shows the conjectural northwest coast, based upon De Font and Russian Discoverers, including the Bay of the West. Several folds as published, margins of about 1 cm or more, apart from upper left where the map was bound in. Several small (1 cm) tears along one fold (no loss.) Size 37.5 x 29.5 cms plus margins.
