"Edward the Martyr stabbed by order of his Step Mother, Elfrida, at Corfe castle in Dorsetshire" (on 18th March 978) engraved by J.Hall after a picture by Edwards, published in History of England, about 1800. Copper engraved print, full plate mark and good margins. Slight staining. Size 18 x 24 cms to plate mark, plus margins. Ref E7304
