"British Possessions in the Mediterranean" (with Gibraltar, Malta, Corfu, Zante, Cephalonia and Maura) classic decorative Tallis/Rapkin map published in Tallis's The Illustrated Atlas ..., about 1853. Steel engraved map with original outline hand colour, the more desirable version without a centrefold and with good margins. The decorative vignettes include Gibraltar, Valetta, Corfu and Vathi on Ithaca. Good condition. Size 25 x 35 cms including decorative border, plus margins. Ref G1976
